City of Somersworth, NH issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
2021 Municipal Election Information
Election Day for the Somersworth Municipal Election is November 2, 2021.
The filing period for the Declaration of Candidacy is September 8th through September 23rd, no earlier and no later. Those interested in running for the positions below must file a Declaration of Candidacy accompanied by a petition with 25 signatures if declaring for a ward position or 50 signatures for Mayor or At- Large positions. In lieu of a petition, Ward specific and At-Large positions can pay a fee of $5.00 and those filing for candidacy for Mayor can pay a fee of $25.00.
Mayor
City Council (Wards 1-5 and 4 At-Large)
School Board (Wards 1-5 and 4 At-Large)
Election Officials
Moderator (Wards 1-5)
Ward Clerk (Wards 1-5)
Selectmen (Wards 1-5)
Election Officials are needed for all City Wards!
